Flor de Manita
"Flor de
Manita", 2000, canvas work (18 x 131/2). The title
means: flower that looks like a hand. I like the
ambiguity, things that are something else in addition to being what they are.
On the top part is a prehistoric
bird. I like pairing things that one would not think of linking. I like the
shock, or the resonance, between those
two things.
